Alissar was officially born on the 22nd October 2020 and registered in the French Official Journal of Associations and Corporate Foundations on the 5th November 2020. It has so far undertaken its establishment in Lebanon.

At Alissar, we are working hand in hand with our first partners who are non-governmental organizations dedicated to venture philanthropy and acting as ecosystems for entrepreneurs in Lebanon (Berytech, Al Fanar, Khaddit…) in order to identify small to medium scale projects that will create a positive social and economic impact.

We have so far received several projects in the field of education, agriculture, women empowerment and ICT, which are currently being evaluated by our team, and which we plan to support through financial assistance or technical expertise, depending on their needs.

At the same time, we are in close contact with various local and French academic partners (AUB, USJ, Sciences Politiques Bordeaux) in the sector of SSE (Social & Solidarity-based Economy).

We hope to create a positive impact on the Lebanese society in order to contribute to a viable and sustainable future for the generations to come.
